About us
A small workshop that answers its own phone
Galaxia has been on Avenida del Mediterráneo for years. Ashley West runs it now, with the same idea behind it as before: fair price, honest answer, car back when we said.
How it works here
Ashley West took the business over from Tony Tatnell, who ran it as a tyre and servicing garage for a long time and built up the customer base it still runs on. What changed under Ash is the range: tyres are still the core of it, but the workshop now also covers brakes, servicing, diagnostics, suspension, batteries and the pre-ITV check, so most cars can be sorted in one place instead of three.
It is a small operation and that is deliberate. The person who quotes you is the person who works on the car, which is why the estimate and the invoice tend to be the same number. There is no service adviser in between passing messages along, and nobody is on commission for selling you a set of discs.
Between us we speak English, Dutch and Spanish. On this coast that matters more than it sounds: describing an intermittent fault is hard enough in your own language, and a mistranslation at the counter is how people end up paying for the wrong repair.

What we hold to
The quote is the invoice
If we find something else once the wheel is off, you hear about it before we touch it. No surprises added at the end.
We say when something can wait
Pads with a season left in them are pads with a season left in them. We will tell you to come back in six months.
Your car goes back on the road
If we cannot finish it today, we get you mobile. A spare on the car beats a car on the drive.
